IS 559B Marco Polo

Janet Tekell, owner of the incredible Iron Star Farm and breeder of Marco, told us his story. Their goats browse 60 acres and they are all out during the day. During kidding season, normally the young Kids stay up around the barn with a few Does that prefer to stay up and babysit. Marco's beautiful Mom, who was a first timer, went out to graze right after she Kidded twins, and one of them, Marco, followed her out. When the girls came in for the evening Marco was no where to be found. They searched the entire property with no luck finding him and sadly figured he fell victim to predators. The next morning they searched one more time and found him unharmed at the edge of the woods. They named him Marco Polo because they felt, at his young age, he must have felt like he traveled the world. Marco was eventually sold to Tennessee, then found a long time home with Mark and Courtney Hoffmaster. Now he has found his forever home here at Three Oaks. Marco is a beast (in size only as he is super sweet!) and a different style and pedigree than what we currently have here. Marco is sired by the incredible Buck, Atlas' Hyas and out of one of the greatest Does of the Savanna industry ever, MGF 208 Rebekah. His pedigree is SUPERB! We think he will really compliment our herd. We look forward to seeing his contribution to our farm and can't wait to hold back a few daughters!!!
